About Us
“The only thing people can agree on is that the most strategic time for a child to start learning is early.”
“80% of the brain is developed in the first 3 years of life, and reading is essential for this growth.”
“There is a profound predictor of health and wealth that can be determined by three years of age. And that predictor is language.”
“Up to third grade you learn to read, after third grade you read to learn. For those children who are not reading on level by third grade, they are four times more likely not to be able to graduate from high school.”
Hi, I’m Jolita
a mother of two and the heart behind From Mom to Mom…Teaching to Read.
I created this space from a very personal place—out of love for my children, and a deep desire to help other parents feel confident, calm, and empowered in their child’s learning journey.
I hold a degree in English Philology from Vytautas Magnus University, and I furthered my education with an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Malta, as well as a Master’s in International Business Law from the University of Cumbria. My academic background and professional experience have taught me how to break down complex ideas into simple, practical steps.
But nothing shaped me more than becoming a mother.
Like many parents, I wanted to give my children the very best start in life. When it came to reading, I felt overwhelmed by all the different advice, methods, and expectations. So I chose a different path. I focused on connection, consistency, and simple everyday moments. And it worked. Both of my children began reading at just 2 years old.
That experience changed everything for me. It showed me that teaching a child to read doesn’t have to be stressful or complicated. It can be natural. Calm. Even joyful.

Why I Created This Website
After going through this journey myself, I realized something important: so many parents want to help their children learn to read—but simply don’t know where to start. There’s too much information, too many methods, and not enough clarity.
I created From Mom to Mom…Teaching to Read to give you exactly that—clear, supportive guidance and practical resources you can actually use in real life.
Through my step-by-step video lessons, I show you how to gently guide your child, even if:
- You have no teaching experience.
- Your child has a short attention span.
- You’ve tried before and felt unsure.
My Approach
My approach is simple, realistic, and designed for real families:
- Building confidence first, then skills.
- No pressure—because children learn best when they feel safe and relaxed.
- Building confidence first, then skills.
You don’t need hours every day. You don’t need special training. You just need the right approach—and someone to guide you.
From One Mom to Another
This is not about perfection. It’s not about pushing your child. It’s about supporting them, understanding them, and giving them the tools to succeed—at their own pace. Because when a child learns to read early, it doesn’t just build a skill. It builds confidence. Independence. A love of learning.
You Can Do This Too
I’m a mom who found what works—and who truly believes that other parents can do it too. If you’re here, it means you care. And that already makes you the most important part of your child’s success. If you’re ready to support your child’s reading journey in a simple, natural, and loving way—you’re in the right place.
Join me, and let’s make reading a joyful part of your child’s life.
